The following review was posted on the shop where I purchased this kit three times, and it was refused three times. I post it following here, 1998 over 2000 allowed characters, with the original pictures I uploaded to the site.
I bought this kit for A979B, many pieces were not useful:
-the 37T metal gear is just for non B versions of A949,A959,A969,A979, B version needs 42T.
-the 15T metal pinion is just for non B versions of A949,A959,A969,A979, B version needs 17T.
-the four metal drive shafts/differentials out cups are already stock on A959B and A979B
-the metal central driving shaft is already stock on A959B and A979B
So if you have B revisions you will really need from this kit:
-the 8 ball bearings and the four upgraded tyres pinions, in my case stock can’t really fit bearings well (a must have, get rid of bushings soon, unlock your RC’s real power and improve run time)
-rear suspensions brackets (it’s an upgrade, but it’s not strictly necessary)
-rear wheel hubs (must have, plastic ones breaks so easily, I broke at least 5, first one within a minute of my A979B first run)
-front suspensions brackets and C hubs (they both are an upgrade, but not strictly necessary)
-front wheel hubs (must have, plastic ones are weak, but not as rear ones)
-steering metal hub (must have but it’s not enough, need metal adjustable rods too to be effective)*
You want to use but will need modifications:
-the metal upper deck plate, in order to use stock steering line screws and bolts you will need to drill two holes in it; in order to use it with my upgraded metal 42T gear I had to remove some metal from the back gear housing because it hit the gear and blocked the car when completely screwed.
You may use, but it’s not an upgrade:
-the two metal shock towers**
-the two metal car shell supports**
*when it comes to all metal steering line, the whole thing becomes heavier for the weak plastic stock servo, and need to change servo, and thus receiver, esc, engine, will arise. BTW you’ll love to go brushless!!
**I love car races before RCs and I can’t consider an upgrade any heavier metal piece you put in the upper part of your model in place of a lighter plastic one. Higher center of gravity = DOWNGRADE
